Emilie Delpeuch

Emilie Escure-Delpeuch began with specialized study of the biblical languages Greek and Hebrew (7 years of study). At the same time, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Theology from the Protestant Institute of Theology in Montpellier (France). She then obtained her Master's degree in Theology at the Protestant Faculty of Strasbourg (France). In 2017, she defended her dissertation entitled: The exegesis of Mt 25.10 (parable of the ten virgins) in Christian literature of the first five centuries. With a particular interest in early Syriac Christianity, she completed and passed an university degree of syriac at the Faculty of Historical Sciences in Strasbourg (France). She was then employed by the University of Lausanne (Switzerland), and also started a Phd with a thesis entitled: God's sumpatheia: God's compassionate suffering in Scripture and Eastern patristic hermeneutics. At the same time, she obtained another Master's degree in Applied Theology at IPT Montpellier (France) and worked in pastoral ministry in the Reformed Church. This was followed by a period in ministry as leader of a center for spiritual retreats in the heart of nature in the South of France. This ministry led her to develop spiritual accompaniment, particularly for pastors. Now an Adventist, she was appointed a few months ago professor of New Testament at the Adventist Faculty of Theology in Collonges-sous-Salève (France).
